
Teaching Assistant - Scale 3-4
Westfield Primary School is looking to appoint an ambitious, hardworking Teaching Assistant who is committed to raising attainment by supporting some of our more vulnerable children in our happy and friendly primary school. This position will involve working in Reception and Key Stage 1 with children who have communication and interaction delay, with an education health care plans (EHCP) You will be supporting children the children in mainstream as well as delivering interventions.
The successful candidate will:
- Meet Level 3 Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification.
- Have a diverse set of skills, which will enable you to be flexible working in the classroom, dinner hall and playground.
- Experience of working with children who have SEND
- Nursery and/or EYFS experience
- Able to provide intimate care
- An understanding of what inclusion looks like within a primary school.
- Be passionate about teaching and learning.
- Be able to work creatively and strategically.
- Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn.
- Be positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Committed to improving the life chances of every child.
- Be able to support our children in becoming independent, inquisitive and confident as individuals
This is a temporary role until 31/07/2026 to be reviewed annually.

Salary range
