Salary: Grade 4, pro rata of £24404 Actual Salary £18499
Contract: Temporary until 31st August 2026
Working Pattern: Term Time plus 5 INSET days
Hours: 32.5 hours per week 8.30am -3.30pm
DBS Check: Enhanced

The governors and staff of St. Chad's C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with a small group of children in the morning and as a 1:1, support in the afternoon with a Year 1 pupil from September 2025.
Job details –
This position involves supporting the pupils with their individual needs, helping them to achieve the targets outlined in their individual Learning Plans, whilst supporting their emotional needs. The role would suit someone who has experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who has:
- A love of working with young people.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and good organisation.
- The ability to develop and maintain strong communication channels with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- A willingness to work in a trauma informed manner, as part of a collaborative team.
- A good understanding of SEND.
- An understanding of emotional development and its impact on learning.
- Basic maths and literacy skills.
