The Rawlett School is a secondary school led by a dedicated and ambitious Executive Principal, Jasmine Woodard. The school are on a transformational journey and Jasmine has a track record of successfully delivering this. Jasmine is now looking for ambitious staff to be part of this incredibly rewarding, yet challenging, journey and this is an opportunity for you to be part of that as we look to recruit a SEND Key Worker.

    Your new role
Reporting to SENDco Jo Homer who joined the school 12 months ago and brings a wealth of experience, you will be joining a team of 5 who have a flexible and collaborative approach. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who is adaptable and willing to learn - you don't need lots of experience, we will provide you with some of the best training.

You will provide support across all classes to children with SEND needs. This is a vital role to help us meet our commitment to pupils with Special Educational Needs. We are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school, but we can't do that without dedicated support. Where necessary you will be delivering small group and 1:1 interventions for pupils. We believe in providing every pupil with the opportunity to succeed in an environment that is calm, safe and focused on achieving aspirations. It's an exciting time to join, so please don't wait to apply!

    What you'll need to succeed
You will be an organised individual who has the willingness to be developed and put pupils' learning needs. You will have patience in interactions with a variety of students and situations, with a calm demeanour and have empathy to understand the needs and challenges of students and be able to relate to them on a personal level. You will also be somebody who can engage and enthuse students to want to learn.

    We offer you:

    • CPD: Outstanding whole school CPD programme, including sessions with David Didau, Clare Sealy and Tom Bennett.
    • Training: Continuous growth and development training opportunities across 57 Lift Schools.
    • Generous benefits: From your pension to healthcare and financial support, we've got you covered.
    • Lifestyle perks: Enjoy discounted gym memberships, travel deals, and electric vehicle incentives.

The role is due to commence ASAP. This is initially a fixed term contract but we are hopeful it will be extended or made permanent.

If you would like to have a confidential discussion and/or arrange a tour of the school with Jasmine Woodward ahead of applying please contact us.

Please don't wait until the role closes; we will be looking at applications as they come in and arranging interviews ASAP.

    Closing date: Monday 18th August
    Interview: Week commencing 25th August
