Join our Housing Assets and Investment team as a Team Leader - Tenancy Sustainment and play a key role in helping residents maintain successful tenancies through effective support, risk management and partnership working.

This role is temporary until January 2028 to cover a period of maternity leave, or until the return of the substantive postholder from maternity leave, whichever is sooner.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

As Team Leader - Tenancy Sustainment, you will lead and support a team of Tenancy Sustainment Officers, ensuring clients receive the right support to sustain their tenancies and achieve positive outcomes. You will work closely with the Assistant Housing Manager, internal services and partner agencies to support tenants with complex needs, manage risk and promote a coordinated multi-agency approach.

You will:
  • Lead, supervise and support a team of Tenancy Sustainment Officers, including case allocation, one-to-one meetings and reflective practice sessions.
  • Oversee support plans, risk assessments and interventions, ensuring tenants receive effective and appropriate support.
  • Coordinate and represent the service at multi-agency meetings, including MAPPA, MARAC, TAF and MDT forums.
  • Deal with safeguarding issues and ensure concerns are escalated appropriately.
  • Undertake file audits, review performance and promote continuous improvement across the service.
  • Develop strong relationships with statutory, voluntary and private sector partners to deliver coordinated support.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Safeguarding Level 2
  • Experience of line managing staff.
  • Experience of partnership working to achieve desired objectives.
