Our Vacancy
As a Technical Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, compliant homes for our residents. Working within a high-performing team and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will assist in the management and administration of compliance contracts across a range of building safety disciplines including electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos management, and building services engineering. You will be central to our Access process, ensuring legal compliance by coordinating with internal teams, external solicitors, contractors, and residents. Your work will contribute directly to our commitment to delivering an excellent experience for every resident, every time.
What you'll do
On a day-to-day basis, you will maintain accurate records of completed works and associated certification to demonstrate compliance with legislation and industry standards. You will monitor contractor performance, review documentation for accuracy and compliance, and generate schedules of work. You’ll manage service enquiries from internal and external customers, agree and confirm appointments with residents, and prepare documentation for legal procedures where necessary. You’ll also follow up with residents regarding appointments and potential legal action, update CRM cases, and ensure all systems and data are kept accurate and up to date to meet key performance indicators.
You will be required to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week, this role offers a flexible location of either Westminster Bridge Road, SE London or Pitsea, Essex
What you'll need
- Strong organisational skills with experience in managing compliance-related documentation and contractor performance.
- Excellent IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database systems such as EDMS or SharePoint.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage a varied workload under pressure.
- Willingness to undertake training in technical compliance areas such as fire safety, electrical safety, and asbestos management.
