Technician in Art & Fashion
Do you have a passion for Art, Fashion or Textiles and want to inspire the next generation? Whether you’re working in industry or looking to change your career path, we have an exciting opportunity for a Technician to join our – Art & Fashion curriculum team in readiness for the start of the 2026/27 academic year.
Our Technicians work with the Lecturers and other team members in the curriculum area to provide technical support for the delivery of Art & Fashion courses and actively participate in enhancing the student experience. In addition to helping shape and motivate our learners throughout their course, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing learning materials in readiness for practical sessions.
The successful candidate will use their background in Art, Fashion or Textiles to set up demonstrations of techniques for Lecturers. The Technician will also be responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations for use and storage. Good communication skills, problem solving ability and patience would all be valuable attributes.
The Role:
Where you’ll work: This role is based at our Dartford campus.
Your hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (1 FTE).
Your pay: £24,688 per annum
