An exciting opportunity has opened up for a proactive and enthusiastic Hair & Beauty Technician to join our vibrant and fast-paced team at North Kent College’s Dartford and Gravesend campuses.
In this hands-on and varied role, you’ll support the delivery of outstanding practical learning experiences across our Hair and Beauty curriculum areas. Working closely with our Lecturers, you’ll help prepare materials for lessons, assist during practical sessions, and provide technical support to students as they develop their skills.
You’ll also play a key role in helping to promote our department by working with the Head of Curriculum to create engaging marketing content and manage the area’s social media platforms—celebrating student creativity and achievements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of practical sessions in Hair and Beauty
- Provide day-to-day technical support to students and staff
- Help organise and maintain equipment and learning materials
- Support promotional activity, including creating marketing materials and managing social media content
- Work collaboratively with academic staff and contribute to a high-quality learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in the Hair and Beauty industry
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident, friendly, and approachable, with the ability to support a wide range of stakeholders
- Computer literate with good literacy skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to your work

The Role:
Where you’ll work: This role is based at our Dartford & Gravesend Campuses.
Your hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 52 weeks per annum
Your pay: £24,688 per annum
