    The Temporary Accommodation Team are offering a fixed term or secondment opportunity for a Housing Officer. The role involves providing an efficient service to tenants and licensees in temporary accommodation, to ensure the effective use of properties minimising voids and to ensure properties are maintained to an agreed property standard.

    The job would be offered as fixed term to external candidates and may be available as a secondment to internal candidates.

    This role is available as a secondment to internal applicants in line with our secondment policy.     About the role

    The Housing officer Role within the Temporary Accommodation service can be a varied and enjoyable position. Working with our customers to provide information and advice around their Homeless applications. Carrying out tenancy visits ensuring they comply with the terms of their tenancy agreement providing general advice to tenants regarding any arrears, court costs, housing benefits, overpayments or rechargeable repairs.

    It also involves dealing with Antisocial Behaviour, preparing legal documents and attending case conferences.

    Additional information

    Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
