    The Governors are seeking to appoint:

    A Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant

    Pay Band D / SCP 5 - 6

    £25,583 - £25,989 pro rata per annum

    SEN Allowance £1,539 pro rata per annum

    Actual Salary: £10,058 – £10,217 per annum

    Actual SEN allowance £605 per annum

    16 hours per week / 46 weeks per year / Term time

    To start as soon as possible.

    The contract is initially until July 2026 with the possibility of an extension.

    We are seeking a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support in a lower Key Stage 2 class. The successful candidate will work with pupils to help them access the curriculum, develop self worth and improve emotional wellbeing. Experience working with children with social communication difficulties would be beneficial.

    Experience of supporting children with speech, language and communication needs is highly beneficial. An understanding of autism and how to adapt provision to meet individual needs would also be an advantage.

    We are looking for someone who is patient, proactive and able to build positive, trusting relationships. A flexible approach and a willingness to work closely with the class teacher and wider team are essential.
