Tenancy Audit Officer (PSL) 1 Year Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity
Grade 5 £35,520 - £38,739 per annum
We have an exciting opportunity in temporary accommodation for a Tenancy Audit Officer.
To provide a high quality Tenancy Audit service, verifying authorised occupants of Council property and highlighting the illegal occupation of Havering Council’s social housing stock.
Ensuring properties are maintained and they have no care or neglect issues
Recording and detailing unapproved works or adaptions to properties
Reviewing tenants personal circumstances and update information that might influence housing application register
Identifying tenancy fraud, non-authorised sub lettings or occupiers
Review identity of tenant and occupants and update Open Housing records
To complete reports and to obtain photographic evidence of residents to verify authorised occupation
Report any safeguarding issues in accordance with the safeguarding policy
Carry out any necessary referrals to supporting agencies to support the tenant sustain their tenancy
Provide tenancy audit data as required
To provide witness statements and evidence to remedy illegal occupation
Develop strong links with other council departments to provide solutions such as; access for annual gas servicing, tenancy fraud investigations, identifying safeguarding, and vulnerability risks to enable the Council to maintain properties and protect residents.
Where relevant take action in line with the Tenancy Terms & Conditions to combat illegal occupation and tenancy fraud.
