Contract Type: Permanent- Full Time - 35 hours
Salary: £40,649 per annum to £49,001 per annum (London weighted salary) or £36,073 per annum to £43,954 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience plus ECU* allowance
Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford
Persona: Agile – 1 -2 days office attendance required.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Your impact in the role, as a Tenancy Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for:
- Investigating allocated cases to their conclusion, ensuring transparency and compliance in all case file management using all available tools and resources.
- Working on complex, sensitive cases and may involve joint working with Local Authority Fraud Departments, the Police, and other partners where appropriate, considering differing aims and legislation.
- Attending and giving evidence in both civil and criminal proceedings at County Court, Magistrates Court, and Crown Court
- Briefing our legal representatives or external representatives on the conduct, process, and findings of the investigation during such proceedings.
- Working closely with our Tenancy Verification Team to investigate irregularities and instances of potential fraud that arise from our tenancy verification programme.
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Knowledge of types of tenancy / housing fraud
- Knowledge of Housing Law
- Availability to work out of hours (including early morning, evening, and weekend visits)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to set own and team’s priorities to achieve set deadlines & targets.
- Essential Qualifications: Professional Counter Fraud qualification (PINS, ACFS or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this.
- It is essential you have access to a car and a clean driving license

- Experience of working in social housing

- Able to demonstrate strong administrative experiences, gained in a fast-paced working environment
- Good analytical skills, able to identify inefficiencies and suggest solutions
- Resilient – able to manage excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to develop and influence relationships at all levels
