    Tenancy Relations Officer - Protection from Eviction Team

    37 hours, 12 months fixed term

    About the role

    As a Tenancy Relations Officer, you’ll play a vital role in promoting lawful tenancy practices, supporting tenants at risk of illegal eviction, and fostering positive relationships between landlords and tenants in preparation, and then leading on, the changes required in response to the Renters Rights Bill due to be introduced early 2026. You’ll provide expert advice on landlord and tenant law, conduct investigations, and represent cases in court when necessary.

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Deliver confidential, customer-focused advice to tenants and landlords.
    • Prevent homelessness through legal interventions and tenancy support.
    • Conduct PACE interviews and prepare cases for court.
    • Build strong relationships with private sector landlords to improve housing standards.
    • Support housing initiatives and promote best practices in the private rented sector.

    About you

    The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness prevention, with experience working in a customer-driven, multi-disciplinary environment. They will be capable of managing a personal caseload while consistently meeting performance targets. Skilled in influencing and negotiation, legal procedures, and evidence preparation, they will also demonstrate excellent communication abilities and the capacity to build effective partnerships across agencies.

    Specific requirements

    • Must have a clean driving licence for use of the pool car.
    • Must have knowledge and experience of conduction PACE Interviews and preparing files for court
