The Tourism & Place team, within the Council’s Economic Development Team, plays a key role in delivering the Council’s ambitions for Bolsover District by enhancing its identity, strengthening the visitor economy, and supporting place‑making activity. We work collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners to promote the district and ensure our places thrive.

As the Tourism and Place Officer, you will support the delivery of the Bolsover Place Programme—helping to coordinate projects, develop marketing activity, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to key growth initiatives.

To be successful you will need:

  • Proven experience supporting or coordinating projects within economic development, tourism, regeneration, or place‑making.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with businesses, partners, and community groups.
  • Experience using data, CRM systems, or analytics to support evaluation and reporting.
  • Creativity and attention to detail when helping develop marketing materials, content, or promotional activity.

Experience working with tourism businesses, visitor attractions, or Destination Management Organisations would be advantageous. The role supports activity across the district, with work involving town centres, heritage sites, rural locations, and community partners.
