This is a development role, designed to support you to grow into a fully qualified Recovery Worker. With training, guidance, and hands-on experience, you’ll build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in this rewarding field.

- Encourage and motivate customers to engage with recovery programmes and treatment services
- Build trusted, supportive relationships using a coaching approach to help people achieve their goals
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment
- Assist in developing person-centred recovery plans using a strengths-based approach
- Work alongside experienced Recovery Workers to support case management and deliver effective support
- Stay alert to risks and follow safeguarding and risk management processes
You don’t have to tick every box, but we’re especially interested in someone who:
- Is positive, enthusiastic, and keen to learn and develop in a rewarding career
- Is kind, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives
- Builds trusting relationships with individuals facing complex challenges
- Brings creativity and resilience when engaging and supporting others
- Has good communication and basic IT skills
- Can manage their time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
- Has some experience (or transferable skills) supporting people with complex needs, or an interest in recovery and addiction support
When you join Peabody, you become part of a supportive team that lives by its values:
Be Kind | Do the Right Thing | Love New Ideas | Celebrate Diversity | Keep Our Promises | Pull Together
We’re committed to creating a workplace where you feel supported, valued, and able to grow, just as we aim to do for the people we support every day.
What You’ll Get
- 25 days’ annual leave
- Flexible benefits including healthcare, dental, and discounts
- 4x Life Assurance and up to 10% pension contribution
- Professional development, including funded apprenticeships.
- Two paid volunteering days each year
- Family-friendly policies and a supportive team culture
