We’re Looking for Someone Truly Special to Join Our Team!
Are you a dedicated and conscientious early years professional with a passion for nurturing young minds? We’re looking for an inspiring and experienced individual to lead our wonderful team in the Two-Year-Old Room at our maintained nursery school.
Your exemplary EYFS practice will serve as a model to motivate and guide your team, helping to raise the standard of care and education across the provision. With confidence and clarity, you’ll be able to identify gaps in performance and ensure the smooth, effective running of the setting.
A deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage will underpin how you support your team, collaborate with the wider school community, and help drive continued improvement.
But just as importantly—we’re looking for someone who:
- Isn’t afraid to get messy in the mud kitchen
- Can share a hearty, imaginative conversation over a cup of invisible tea and cake
- Brings stories to life whilst reading books, helping children build a rich and growing vocabulary
- Knows when to step into play to extend learning, and when to stand back and observe
While play is at the heart of our provision, our team also excels in building strong relationships with families and writing meaningful observations that celebrate each child’s progress. You will be confident in handling challenges calmly and supportively, helping to instil trust and reassurance in both parents and colleagues.
This is a full-time, all-year-round position in a maintained nursery school that offers wraparound childcare.
If you have what it takes to join the Rebecca Cheetham family and you hold a minimum Level Three in Childcare or Early Year Educator and have considerable experience, then we look forward to receiving your application and having you visit. Please contact the school office on 0208 534 3136 to arrange a suitable date or email at info@rebeccacheetham.newham.sch.uk
