The post holder will be required to work a Split shift Monday to Friday attending 24 hours per week between the hours of 07:00 – 10:00 and 14:30 – 17:30. Additional flexibility may also be required

We are offering a great opportunity to assist service users of all ages with special needs/ learning or mobility difficulties to access local day centres or schools throughout the borough on Solihull Council’s Transport Fleet.
As a Vehicle Passenger Escort, you will need to have a good understanding of the support required by vulnerable adults & children, people with learning and/or physical disabilities.
In addition, you will be:
- able to demonstrate reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy skills
- physically able to push and clamp wheelchairs
- able to observe service users and respond to their diverse needs
- able to think on your feet and deal with situations calmly and professionally

Due to the nature of the work and the job share nature of this position, you will be required to work a split shift, between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 am and 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm. Flexibility will be required.
