Description

Uphold our values and ensure vetting excellence at Derbyshire Constabulary

As our Vetting Supervisor, you’ll oversee a dedicated team driving performance, development, and wellbeing. You’ll streamline processes, meet deadlines, and ensure robust vetting for all applications.

Using your critical decision-making skills, you’ll conduct vetting assessments in line with policy and help maintain the highest standards of integrity.

You’ll be

• Ensuring daily function of the vetting tea complies with relevant policies and procedures.
• Planning and leading vetting interviews and the vetting of senior managers/officers in sensitive posts.
• Managing the quality of the service providing identifying and implementing innovative processes to increase effectiveness.

You must have

• Working knowledge of the Vetting APP 2025 and Vetting Code of Practice.
• Experience making critical decisions through information retrieved from databases and links made between data sets.
• Previous supervisory experience including management of staff wellbeing, attendance, performance and welfare.
