We are looking for a practising Catholic school leader, a shining star who will flourish in the standalone role of Vice Principal.
We are located in the town of Huddersfield, close to the Pennines, midway between Leeds and Manchester. The College has a climate of high expectations where students thrive in a diverse learning community, being judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2022 and ‘Good with Outstanding Catholic Life and Mission' in our Section 48 Inspection in March 2025. We have also achieved the Secondary Geography Quality Mark in 2026-2029, and The Quality in Careers Standard.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant or Deputy Head (and practising Catholic) who can show evidence of impact across most areas of school leadership, most notably in the categories as defined by the Ofsted Framework and in student outcomes.
The Principal, who has led the College since January 2018, is looking to appoint a standalone Vice Principal to complete her Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will work closely alongside her, the rest of the SLT and the whole school community as they seek to achieve excellence in all aspects of College life.
Specific responsibilities are not prescribed. Both Governors and the Principal simply wish to recruit the most able Catholic school leader, who comes equipped withproven leadership and management skills; who is approachable, empathetic and who will contribute to the Catholic Vision and strategic direction of the school.
All Saints is an 11-16 school, situated near the northern boundary of Kirklees. We are a Catholic college with students attending from diverse cultural backgrounds, which contribute to the distinctive ethos. In November 2022, Ofsted judged All Saints “Good” in every category. We were judged “Good with Outstanding Catholic Life and Mission” in terms of our 2025 inspection by the Catholic Schools Inspectorate.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our College making substantial progress under current leadership. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.
At All Saints Catholic College, we aim to create a happy workplace culture through promoting a healthy work/life balance. We do that by providing a package of flexible employee benefits, including:
- An attractive pension scheme for both Teaching and Support staff.
- A high-quality wellbeing package including medical cover, counselling, physiotherapy, fast track medical cover, care service and a 24-hour GP helpline.
- Care First Advice - a 24/7 information and counselling service.
- We are part of the Cycle to Work scheme. Tax free bikes and safety equipment can be payable by payroll deduction through a partnership with Cyclescheme.
- Free parking.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are able to work as part of the whole staff team, and who will support and uphold the Catholic ethos and practices of the college.
