About the role

Role Summary

As a Voids Clearance Driver/labourer you operate a clearance vehicle and undertake a variety of tasks identified in a void property as per a specification produced by the Voids Manager and/or Supervisor, taking ownership of work, operating within Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters.

Working arrangements may be as part of a team or lone working, dependent upon the scope of the works required. Works may include but not limited to, property clearance, redecoration, cleaning and two-man assistance works.

What will you be doing?

Role Specific Responsibilities

•Operating a clearance vehicle, loading and unloading of material
•Removing contents from void addresses and tipping this at the waste management site
•Performing cleaning duties on a void property, to assist the management team
•Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices
•Affording excellent customer service to client representatives
•Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner
•Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times
•Operating within the company’s occupational road risk policies and procedures

Education & Qualifications

•Full UK driving licence

Key Skills & Competencies

•Previous experience in a similar role - Essential
•Social Housing experience - Desirable
•Previous experience in Voids or Property repairs/maintenance - Desirable

Behaviours

•You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity as there will be frequent use of hand tools
•You may be required to work at height or uneven ground
•You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction
