Responsible for receiving goods when they arrive on site and recording their receipt on Hera, our warehouse management system, you’ll maintain the very highest levels of safety and security as you carry out necessary threat detection procedures. We’ll also expect you to work on the procurement of goods for inventory supply, including purchase orders and requisitioning. The management of inventory stock for internal and external customers will be another of your tasks, as will making arrangements for the complete end-to-end disposal of goods.

Use all your skills as you help to keep our nation safe and secure

To be a success in this role, you’ll have the skills to screen and pack goods safely and securely, and be capable of operating the specialist tools and vehicles used in our warehouses. In addition, you should have experience of high risk manual handling. The ability to drive a forklift truck would be desirable, as would an understanding of the Health and Safety requirements of working in a busy operational facility.

You’ll be joining a hard working, friendly and collaborative team, so you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic English and Maths qualifications (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or 4) are important, as is some practical knowledge and understanding of Microsoft’s suite of software, with a particular focus on Word and Excel.

Along with this, you’ll also have access to training and other development opportunities to help grow your career with us. Our offices have an on-site gym, nursery, café, and restaurant, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there.
