What You’ll Be Doing
As a Welfare Rights Adviser at Money Advice Camden, you'll provide high-quality support to residents in need, helping them claim the benefits they're entitled to. You'll work collaboratively with your team to manage complex cases, conduct benefit checks and appeals, and build strong relationships with colleagues. You'll be part of a team that prioritizes customer-centric service and continuous improvement, working together to reflect on approaches and propose new ones when needed. This role will make an immediate difference for vulnerable members of our community, and you'll be part of a dynamic team that works openly and collaboratively to drive positive change.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

As a highly experienced welfare rights adviser, you'll bring a deep understanding of benefits, welfare reform, and related laws to the role. With strong analytical and numeracy skills, you'll be able to assess entitlement, conduct better off calculations, and make informed decisions. You'll be trained by a reputable organization and motivated to support vulnerable individuals with empathy and a desire to make a difference. You'll also have a strong understanding of community resources, including statutory and VCS provision, and existing relationships with Camden VCS groups will be an asset. With the ability to make decisive judgments under pressure and lead in sensitive situations with empathy and integrity, you'll be an invaluable asset to the team.
