Wraparound Care Leader

St Paul's CofE Primary School, Kingston

Lead, inspire and help children flourish beyond the classroom.

Are you passionate about creating engaging experiences for children? Do you have the energy, creativity and leadership skills to make every morning and afternoon a positive and memorable part of a child's school day?

St Paul's CofE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Wraparound Care Leader to lead our Breakfast and After School Club provision and play a key role in supporting the wider life of our school.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm, welcoming and ambitious school community where our values of Commitment, Courage and Love sit at the heart of everything we do and support our vision of Enabling All to Flourish.

It is an exciting time to join St Paul's as we embark on a new partnership with another local primary school, St Mary's, creating new opportunities for collaboration, development and growth.

Why Join St Paul's?

St Paul's is a one-form entry primary school on the outskirts of Kingston with a strong reputation for nurturing children, supporting staff and promoting a genuine love of learning.

Both our most recent Ofsted and SIAMS inspections recognised the strong sense of community that runs throughout the school, where staff feel valued and children thrive.

We can offer:

  • Well-behaved, motivated and enthusiastic pupils who love coming to school.

  • A supportive and welcoming staff team who work collaboratively and share best practice.

  • Ongoing professional development and CPD opportunities.

  • A friendly and positive working environment where your contribution is valued.

  • The opportunity to play a key role in the wider life of the school.

About the Role

As our Wraparound Care Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operation of our Breakfast and After School Club provision, ensuring children enjoy a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment before and after the school day.

You will also undertake the important role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Deputy DSL) alongside the Headteacher, helping to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our pupils remains at the centre of everything we do.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the daily operations of the Breakfast and After School Club, including directing the team of staff.

  • Planning and delivering a range of engaging, safe and inclusive activities for pupils.

  • Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all children attending the provision.

  • Supporting food preparation and ensuring appropriate standards are maintained.

  • Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.

  • Supporting the safeguarding culture of the school as Deputy DSL.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Energy, enthusiasm and a creative approach to play-based learning.

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or a firm commitment to undertake Level 3 training).

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.

  • Ideally, current First Aid and Food Hygiene training.

  • Ideally, Level 3 Safeguarding training (or a firm commitment to undertake this).
