Sefton Youth Justice Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Victim and Restorative Justice Officer. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE / 18 hours per week), working collaboratively with the current post holder to share responsibilities for the full-time position.
We are looking for someone with experience in supporting victims of youth offending, ensuring they are informed, empowered, and actively involved in the outcomes related to the children who have committed offences. You will play a key role in making sure victims receive appropriate support and that their needs and wishes are acknowledged and addressed.
In this role, you will also:
- Support case managers in understanding the impact of offences on victims and how this informs their work with children.
- Promote and apply restorative practices, encouraging meaningful participation from both victims and children.
- Assist in the delivery of the Referral Order Panel process, working with community volunteers to ensure panels are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
You will be expected to promote Restorative Justice work with children and victims in various forms, experience of this is essential for this role.

Salary range
- £37,280 - £40,777 per year
