Support Worker - Young People’s Housing Services

Full Time | 37.5 hours | £25,857 | Hemel Hempstead

The Role

• Build trusting, compassionate relationships
• Provide trauma-informed support and promote life skills
• Encourage independence rather than personal care
• Maintain clear records and follow support plans
• Lone work when needed and collaborate with colleagues and agencies

About You

You are caring, adaptable and confident communicating with young people from diverse backgrounds. You value inclusion, work well both independently and as part of a team, and are committed to person-centred support and continuous learning.

Essential Criteria:

• Full UK driving licence with business insurance and access to a vehicle for business use
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Children and Young Peoples Workforce Diploma - or willingness to complete, supported by Hightown
• Ability to work as part of a 24-hour rota, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (for sleep-ins you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £52.78).
