Youth Worker Lewisham Youth Services

Join our Prevention and Early Help team to deliver high-quality youth work that supports young people aged 8–19 up to 25 with (SEN) across Lewisham.

You’ll co-produce engaging programmes with young people and deliver creative activities in youth centres and community settings.

This role promotes inclusion, wellbeing and personal development, helping young people overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Youth Worker who loves working with young people.
Someone creative, energetic, and ready to inspire through fun and inclusive programmes.
A team player who collaborates with partners to create real opportunities for growth.
Passionate about supporting wellbeing, confidence, and positive futures for all young people., and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and partners. A solid understanding of safeguarding, equality, and inclusive practice are essential. Flexibility, creativity, and commitment to improving outcomes for young people are key to success in this role.

Location

Bellingham Gateway Youth and Community, SE6 3TT and TNG Youth and Community Centre SE26 8AD.

Special conditions

  • Level 3 Certificate or Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Practice or equivalent
  • Weekend working is required for this job
  • The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary

£32,442.00 - £33,384 per annum SC4 (pro rata)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
