
Youth Worker
We are recruiting a Youth Workerat Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 2.5
Contract Type: 10 x Part Time, Fixed Term Until 31st August 2026
Location: Various Locations in the Borough
Team: Youth Service
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.
We pay an attractive salary of £18.11 - £19.78 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled team members to join our team in Caerphilly South Youth Work Cluster.
We offer support to young people in the community through the provision of a wide range of opportunities and activities at our main centre in Virginia Park, and at other community provisions.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Level 2 qualification in Youth Work Practice on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales or equivalent qualifications to meet the mandatory qualification requirements of the Education Workforce Council (EWC) for Youth Worker or Youth Support Worker registration.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience working with young people.

The Education (Wales) Act 2014 and the Education Workforce Council (Main Functions) (Wales) Regulations 2015 as amended, set out the requirement for qualified youth workers and qualified youth support workers to be registered in the category or categories of registration for the work the undertake.
Your employment will be subject to satisfactory documentary evidence of registration, and continuing registration, as a qualified youth worker or qualified youth support work.
