This position is available as a secondment opportunity. If you are a permanent LBC employee, you must have written approval (an email will suffice) from your manager prior to applying and a copy will need to be submitted with your application. Please note: we will not be able to proceed with your application form without your manager’s permission.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our OT Team within therapies, in a role that involves supporting adults with a variety of needs, including sensory impairments, dementia, autism, learning disabilities, mental health, and physical disabilities. In this position, you will be at the forefront of delivering person-centered care, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing high-quality advocacy and support to service users and carers.

You’ll be responsible for conducting assessments, risk assessments, and reviews, managing complex cases, and collaborating with professionals across various agencies. Experience in managing customer expectations is key, as you will be communicating with individuals who may have sensory impairments and other diverse needs.

About you

You bring a wealth of experience in social care, ideally with a background in working with adults who have sensory impairments, dementia, autism, or other complex needs. Your experience in advocacy and working with diverse customer groups will be invaluable, as will your ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including those who may have communication challenges.

You’re someone who can work under pressure, meet deadlines, and stay organised while managing multiple priorities. Your ability to conduct robust assessments and produce clear, concise reports will be critical. Your skills go beyond technical knowledge — you’re a creative problem-solver who can work collaboratively with others and make sound, informed decisions. You know the importance of respecting and supporting the autonomy of individuals, particularly when developing personalised care plans.

If you’re someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, embraces a multidisciplinary approach, and understands the importance of equality and safeguarding in the social care field, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
