Reading Borough Council is a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to the recruitment and continued employment of people with disabilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the role:</strong></p>\n<p>The Community Partnerships Service, which sits within Housing & Communities to ensure the service is better placed to support, enable, and protect individuals and communities and is now looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Safer Public Realm Team.</p>\n<p><br>This is a varied role that will enable you to utilise problem solving skills to investigate and take action to deal with area based anti-social behaviour and unauthorised encampments, supporting local communities experiencing these types of issues and ensuring appropriate measures are put in place to stop these issues from reoccurring. <br><br>You will have the opportunity to work with a range of services and agencies and support the wider objectives of the Community Partnerships Service to reduce area based anti-social behaviour and unauthorised encampments and support our communities to feel safer and inclusive.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties and responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide a victim-centred approach to tackling area based anti-social behaviour, ensuring timely action is taken and prevention, intervention and enforcement measures are appropriated used to secure a positive outcome, following required case management processes.</li>\n<li>Work in collaboration with key partner agencies to problem solve area based anti-social behaviour to effectively utilise all tools and powers available.</li>\n<li>Ensure all unauthorised encampments on Reading Borough Council owned land are removed as swiftly as possible and that residents, businesses and partners are kept updated.</li>\n<li>When required, attend court and give evidence as a witness in area based anti-social behaviour cases and unauthorised encampment cases.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><br>About you:</strong></p>\n<p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with excellent communication skills and experience in problem solving and partnership working, with the ability to work with local residents to ensure their community feels safe.
