Our Team:
We are looking for both Adult Paralegal and Children’s Paralegal
The Legal team at Halton Borough Council plays a vital role in supporting the Authority by delivering high-quality, timely, and business-focused legal and procedural advice. We are looking for a Paralegal to manage cases, support legal drafting, liaise with stakeholders, prepare court documents, and ensure compliance with legal procedures, all while contributing to a collaborative team environment. The team is committed to delivering advice in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring best value for the Council while helping to meet the complex and evolving needs of the community.
Your Contributions:
- Hold a Law degree, CILEX qualification, or equivalent, or have significant casework experience
- Bring experience in transactional casework within Adult Law or Children’s (depending on which role you are applying for please refer to job profile)
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in handling enquiries from clients and third parties
- Show high attention to detail and accuracy
- Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Take a proactive, collaborative, and solution-focused approach to working within a team
- Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and preferably Excel
- Have experience using document and case management systems
