The role:
- Liverpool City Council’s Network Management Team are recruiting to a number of exciting new positions - offering you the chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovative network management and urban development
- We are seeking two motivated Senior Engineers to work in the Parking and Traffic Orders team, delivering key improvements to parking, traffic management and road safety
- In this role, you will be responsible for managing the preparation of orders and notices relating to prescribed routes, waiting restrictions, controlled parking zones, bus / cycle lanes, speed limits, stopping up of highways, road humps and pedestrian crossings and any other that are deemed necessary to regulate the flow of traffic on the public highway
- The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Engineer will possess a relevant degree or professional qualification e.g. ONC / HNC / HND / BSc. They must also have demonstrable understanding of the procedures necessary to deliver traffic orders in a local authority setting, along with strong communication, decision-making and time management skills
