We aim to work with people who face different types of barriers including low confidence, limited past education experiences, Learning Difficulties or Disabilities, neurodivergent and mental health conditions as well as those who simply need more guidance in re-entering the workplace.<br><br>Step2Skills is looking for someone with a passion for monitoring, managing and continuously improving the quality of adult education for residents of Hertfordshire.You will work in a team of Quality Officers who work in the established Quality Team.<br><br>The Quality team is responsible for monitoring quality and driving continuous improvement, including preparing the service for external inspections and assessments. The team works with our in-house teams and external delivery partners across skills and employment. <br><h4>About the role</h4><p>You will be responsible for working with providers and our In-house Skills team on their quality monitoring of teaching, learning, assessment and outcomes for Skills Bootcamps. These Bootcamps are funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and subject to Ofsted inspections.<br><br>Your role will involve leading on our activities related to this area of our provision to ensure high standards of delivery that meet Ofsted and DfE requirements. This includes monitoring teaching and learning activities, as well as learner outcomes. You will also collate and analyse data to demonstrate the performance and impact of the Bootcamps, making recommendations for improvements and ensuring compliance with DfE and Ofsted standards.</p><h4>About you</h4><p><strong>Essential</strong></p>• Teaching background in Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE).  Ideally, a minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification. If you do not hold this level, we would expect the successful candidate to hold a minimum of the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) and be able to demonstrate significant teaching and/or training experience. • Current knowledge and understanding of Ofsted inspections• Experience of quality monitoring in an education or skills setting• Experience of reviewing data and evidence against standards and making recommendations for change• Experience of working with delivery partner organisations.  This includes collaboration to enable successful delivery and managing performance issues if they arise• Responsible for undertaking a number of activities, planning and managing your own work• You will be able to evidence relevant continuing professional development, reflecting sector changes and pedagogical knowledge and be able to demonstrate how you put learning into practice<br><br><strong>Desirable</strong>:• Experience of managing or quality monitoring Skills Bootcamps specifically• Quality monitoring experience outside education and training• Experience of being an Ofsted nominee, link manager or deputy nominee <p><em>We welcome applications from candidates who currently reside in the UK with established proof of right to work documentation.
