land and property disposals, lease renewals and rent reviews including preparing comprehensive heads of terms and instructing Legal Services.</li>\n<li>Identify commercial opportunities through the development of property and land in furtherance of the wider economic development of Rossendale.</li>\n<li>Provide professional advice on property related matters</li>\n<li>Support the wider Economic Development and Regeneration Team in the delivery of property related projects.</li>\n<li>Managing a budget and a small team to provide an efficient and effective service.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience of the delivery of asset land and property strategy and maximising revenue</li>\n<li>Experience of negotiating land and property disposals</li>\n<li>Experience of preparing comprehensive Heads of Terms and working closely with other departments such as Legal</li>\n<li>Experience of significant building projects including capital construction.</li>\n<li>Experience of interpreting legislation, policy and guidance to contribute to develop local policies and procedures</li>\n<li>Experience of leading, motivating and developing staff</li>\n<li>Experience of following procurement guidelines and policies</li>\n<li>Experience of dealing with land registry</li>\n<li>Experience of working in a public sector environment would be an advantage</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.</li>\n<li>Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office</li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to demonstrate the council’s values and behaviours</li>\n<li>Ability to use own initiative, organise and manage own workload to The role
