The Service
Harry Sotnick House is a busy 46 bed nursing home, spread over 2 units and is rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission.
At Harry Sotnick, we deliver a broad range of healthcare services to older people with mental and physical health needs, offering long term dementia care and bed based re-ablement for hospital leavers.

Your New Role
The role of the registered nurse working in a nursing home is a highly skilled one, requiring an in-depth knowledge of long term conditions associated with ageing, managing complex multiple morbidities and frailty.
You will manage, direct and evaluate a high standard of nursing care in a 46 bedded nursing home. You will be responsible for deciding on appropriateness of care plans and assessing the quality of care being delivered by junior staff to ensure that health care is fully met. You will need to decide on the appropriateness of clinical and non-clinical issues that need reporting for monitoring purposes. It will also be your responsibility to decide whether care planning and delivery of care enables residents to exercise choice and control over the lives.
You must ensure that new developments in clinical practice are incorporated into the policies/ procedures. It will be part of your role to decide on quality of care planning and quality of delivery of care to meet required standards for audits.
What you'll need to succeed
Educated to degree level or equivalent you will be registered with NMC and have proven experience working in a relevant health or care setting. Flexible in your approach you will have the ability to promote respect and appreciation whilst providing care and compassion to service users. Reliable and organised you will have good record keeping and IT skills. Evidence of personal and professional development, you must keep up to date with new developments in clinical practice and implement changes to the provision of nursing care wherever necessary.
