Action Falls Programme Tutor (Sessional Worker) - Funded Courses for Public Health & Wellbeing
The candidate will develop and deliver courses to promote healthy ageing and to prevent and reduce falls in older adults in Sutton. The courses will be focused on increasing understanding of key actions to support the care of older adults and implementing practical actions to increase independence and reduce risks associated
with falls. Course learners will primarily be individuals who provide care for older adults. The tutor will be expected to deliver courses both at Sutton College premises and on site with learners, including visiting and delivering sessions at care homes across the London Borough of Sutton. The role will involve positive relationship building and stakeholder engagement, including with Sutton care homes, Sutton Health & Care, and the voluntary sector.
Qualifications
A successful candidate will have 5+ years’ experience working in a clinical or caring capacity with older people’s health, with preference given to candidates with experience
working with care homes. Experience of teaching or training health or care staff is required. Local knowledge of Sutton and Sutton care homes is preferred.
