This is a rare opportunity for experienced professionals in property and finance to play a vital role in tackling homelessness and delivering safe, affordable housing for low-income residents in North-West London.</p>\n<p><br>The Council is expanding the board from five to seven members to reflect both the growth of the companies and the increasing complexity of their operations.</p>\n<p><br>Alongside your professional expertise, we’re looking for individuals with a strong commitment to increasing the supply of housing in a tough economic climate and improving the experience of residents. If you’re motivated to use your skills as a non-executive director to support strategic progress and social impact, we would love to hear from you.</p>\n<p><br>We are seeking individuals with senior-level experience and strong professional or business credentials to join our Board. You will need a solid understanding of governance and the distinction between executive and non-executive roles, alongside commercial acumen and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. A commitment to customer satisfaction, equality, and supporting diverse communities is essential, as is an awareness of the broader social, economic, and political context in which we operate.</p>\n<p><br>Ideal candidates will also bring strategic thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to influence and challenge constructively while maintaining strong relationships and upholding collective responsibility. Integrity and a clear understanding of risk management are also important attributes.<br>Experience at board level (executive or non-executive), a background in the housing sector, and familiarity with the North-West London area—its communities, strengths, and challenges—would be advantageous.</p>\n<p><br><strong>Property Role</strong></p>\n<p><br>For the property-focused role, we are looking for someone with professional experience in the property sector, including asset management, residential markets (rental and sales), and client–contractor relationships. You’ll take a lead interest in property-related matters such as stock management and the acquisitions programme. A strong understanding of Brent’s housing needs and the ability to support and challenge officers on growth strategies and delivery will be essential.<br> </p>\n<p><strong>Finance Role</strong></p>\n<p><br>For the finance-focused role, we are seeking someone with professional experience in financial management, ideally with a relevant qualification.
