We are recruiting a Healthy Food Trainer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Ty Penallta / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider catering Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 - £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are looking for a confident, motivated professional with a strong catering background and in-depth dietary allergy knowledge to join our team.
The post holder will conduct kitchen audits to ensure compliance with Welsh Government Healthy Eating in Schools regulations and deliver engaging training sessions to catering staff, raising standards in food quality and nutrition.
The post holder will ensure all food safety legislative requirements are adhered to.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- A Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate.
- Relevant experience working within health, social or education settings.
- Flexibility to work evenings and week-ends.
