Science Laboratory Technician

Required for September 2025 

SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNICIAN 

JOB SHARE - Permanent 

22 hours per week, 38 weeks (term time only) 

Hours: between the hours of 8am to 4pm (negotiable), preferably Monday to Wednesday. 

 

Grade 4; scp 05 - 06: £12,392 - £12,873 p.a. (actual salary) 

 To provide a practical day-to-day technician service for the Science faculty. 

Preparing experiments, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff.

Liaising with staff over use of equipment and stock.

Tidying away experiments which will also involve cleaning of equipment. 

You will be mixing chemical solutions and helping where necessary within the classroom. 

A qualification in science is an advantage. 

We also provide reduced staff membership rates at the on-site Leisure Centre Fitness suite and there are excellent road and rail links to Alsager.
