They will be class based, each class has a teacher and two full time teaching assistants. Opportunities may arise to work on a 1-1 basis with some pupils needing additional support. The ethos of the school is based on care, responsibility and mutual respect. We use non-confrontational approaches to behaviour modification and develop the pro-social skills of the young people in our care. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As stated Gilbrook is a school for pupils with SEMH, all pupils have an EHCP. This job can be very challenging and you need to be aware of the pupils’ complex profiles and range of needs. In addition. you will be expected to take the time to understand the drivers behind their SEND associated needs. You will be expected to undertake training to support this role, including Team Teach and all areas of safeguarding.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are strongly committed to extending our pupils’ horizons by engagement with outdoor learning, working with farm animals and extra-curricular activities and a range of school trips.
