Planning Support Officer
Salary: £29,330 - £31,773
In this role, you’ll play a key part in the Council’s handling of planning applications, in particular those referred to the Development Management Committee and those liable to pay the Community Infrastructure Levy.
Communication is also a key factor of this role, so your string interpersonal skills will guide you when dealing with a variety of customers and you’ll be able to show an empathetic approach when interacting with our customers, to uphold our high customer service standards,
You’ll deal with a variety of queries that can often be complex so therefore your confidence in dealing with a wide range of data will be invaluable. You’ll also have an eye for accuracy when checking information and be comfortable meeting deadlines.
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
