What to Expect in the Role:
You will be working as a member of a busy team dealing with the day-to-day administration of Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing Benefit to residents across the district.
You will have excellent communication skills, experience of working in a customer focussed environment, have at least 2 years of Business Rates, Council Tax or Benefits experience. In addition, you should have a professional diplomatic approach in working with people from all backgrounds.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details):
• Working as part of a team responsible for Council Tax, Benefits or Business Rates
• Process correspondence and enquiries in an efficient manner.
• Organise and prioritise your own workload.
• Provide prompt assistance and support to Customers Access.
• Keep up to date on legislation and changes to Regulations for Revenues
What You’ll Need (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details):
• 2 years’ experience of working within either a Council Tax, Business Rates or Housing Benefits service.
• Good Communication skills.
• Experience of working with IT software packages.
• The ability to work in a pressurised environment with deadlines and targets.
• Excellent Customer Service skills with residents from different backgrounds.
