We are carrying out a postal residents’ survey and are looking for someone to input the data from the completed surveys we receive. We anticipate there will be between 800 and 1000 surveys returned. We have estimated up to 10 surveys can be completed in an hour and have capped the hours at 100 based on this number. All data will need to be entered into the system by 15 August at the latest.
Job description
- To sort documents for data entry.
- To enter data from the paper version into a web based version.
- To ensure confidentiality of information by keeping data private and secure.
- To accurately record any hand written comments on the form.
- To comply with the Council’s data usage and security policies.
What you will need:
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including accurate typing skills.
- Ability to work fast, accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Good knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Access to the internet.
You will need to be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You will also need to be flexible about when you carry out the work, as the surveys will be provided in batches approximately once a week.
You will need to collect the surveys from the Council Offices in Oxted and ensure they are kept confidentially secure while in your possession.
We will provide a laptop for you to access a web browser on to input the survey data. You will need access to an internet/Wi-Fi connection.
You will need to keep any entered survey responses separate from those which have not been entered onto the system and return all hard copies when you have finished the work.
