Forest School Leader – Level 3

Salary: HBC 3-4 SP 5-11

Contract type: Fixed-term, full-time, term time
Reporting to: Deputy Headteacher

The Children, Staff and Governing Board at Aspiring Foundations Federated Nursery Schools are 
looking to appoint a confident and inspirational Forest School Leader to join our team. 
The successful candidate will work alongside nursery staff to deliver Forest School and outdoor 
learning experiences at both Warrington Road and Ditton Nursery Schools.

The post is fixed term for 1 year with an opportunity to renew.

The successful candidate will have a Forest School Level 3 qualification and an up-to-date Outdoor 
First Aid qualification.
The Forst School Leader will:

• Be responsible for and maintain the Forest School areas, plan, prepare and deliver
purposeful activities for our children under Forest School guidelines and relevant risk 
assessments

• Work in collaboration with and under the direction of the Deputy Headteachers to ensure 
high quality forest school sessions

• Select and use a range of different resources and teaching styles appropriate to the forest 
school experience

• Establish routines and boundaries to ensure the safety and positive behaviour of the 
children
