Applicants must be experienced in a professional horticultural maintenance environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Allocate works and resources. Check the quality of work to ensure high horticultural standards is achieved
- Ensure all staff complete and submit the necessary paperwork and operate in a safe, effective and efficient manner at all times
- Work closely with other Public Realm services to provide joined up working
- The postholder has Financial/Resources responsibility for: Stock control, issue and maintaining materials, consumables, appropriate PPE and allocating resources appropriately
About You
Able to work in in a team or individually with minimal supervision
Able to supervise a small number of employees with differing abilities.
Capable of monitoring performance and standards against targets.
Capable of carrying out heavy labouring work
Knowledge of Manual Handling & Health & safety
Good understanding of all aspects of Horticulture & Grounds Maintenance,
Experience of working to maintenance schedules and working on the public highway
Knowledge of grounds maintenance machinery and its uses
The ability to tow trailers as commensurate with the limitations of the driving licence held, as required.
Holding a B+E driving licence
