As The Observatory School grows we are adding to a team which has high expectations and sets high standards for both pupils and colleagues.
The school are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to teach across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4, timetabled to work at our Bidston, Leasowe and Solar Campuses and to form part of the Knowledge Curriculum Faculty.
You will play a key part in this journey and will be supported by an exceptional Science leader, a wider Knowledge faculty team and a team of Assistant Headteachers, Heads of School, Executive Headteacher and Governors.
You will form an important link between the three campuses, primarily Leasowe where a brand new state of the art science teaching laboratory is ready to deliver science to KS3 students. It is hoped that you will also play a role in nurturing a love of science for KS2 learners.
As a member of our Science Department, you will not only deliver captivating lessons but will also have the incredible opportunity to lead and participate in our award-winning extra-curricular STEM activities.
Our dedicated STEM team has garnered prestigious trophies at both regional and national levels, showcasing their exceptional talent in events such as the FIRST Tech Robotics Challenge. You will also be technically skilled and able to manage your own prep-room work.
Your knowledge, skills and experience are important, but so will be your emotional intelligence and resilience. Expectations will be high, challenges you have never faced before will come from all directions and the expectation will be on you to meet them in line with the vision of school.

Closing date for the vacancy is 29th May 2025 with commencement date of 1st September 2025, although this is negotiable.
