This includes assessing the materials needed, obtaining them from main stores or suppliers, and seeking approval for repairs that exceed specified work orders. <br><br>Your work will primarily be in occupied properties, so it's essential to exercise care to avoid damage to occupants' property and treat all customers (tenants) with courtesy and respect.<br><br>Upon completion of work or at the end of shifts, you will ensure that sites are properly tidied up, with all waste materials removed and disposed of according to instructions. You will complete service sheets, orders, and time sheets legibly and promptly, and carry out all work in accordance with current codes of safe working practice, legislation, and Health and Safety regulations. Wearing the Council uniform and carrying ID cards at all times is mandatory.<br><br>Additionally, you will improve the quality of services to customers/clients, achieve minute targets/job counts set under the Pay and Productivity Scheme, and identify any additional work required. You will manage your workload, tools, and materials to maximize quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. <br><br>This role also requires availability for emergency call-out as part of a rota system for out-of-hours emergencies.</p>\n<p><strong><b><br>Requirements:</b></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>City and Guilds or NVQ in Floorcovering with demonstrable experience in a range of flooring skills.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Building Trades/Construction.</li>\n<li>Experience in refurbishment and repairs within the general building business.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n<li>Skilled in installing various flooring systems and preparing subfloors.</li>\n<li>Excellent customer care and communication skills.</li>\n<li>Full current driving licence.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You’ll be part of a team that relies on each individual to play their part to the best of their ability.
