Tynewydd Primary School caters for children aged 3–11. We are a vibrant and welcoming learning community committed to nurturing every child’s potential. The Governing Body is seeking a teacher who is:
- An outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to motivate and engage young learners with a wide range of learning needs
- Inspiring, creative, caring, and full of enthusiasm
- Up to date with knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and the ALN Code for Wales
- Proactive in their own professional learning
- Knowledgeable of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and experienced in systems of pastoral care, including pupil empowerment
- Highly motivated and holds high expectations of children’s achievements, behaviour, and skill development
- Flexible, well-organised, and confident
- A strong team player who contributes fully to school life, including extracurricular activities
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers, staff, governors, and the wider community
- Competent in using digital platforms to enhance and share children’s learning
- Committed to promoting Welsh as a second language and to the well-being of all pupils
- Able to deliver high-quality, high-impact, creative, and inspiring lessons
- Approachable to all stakeholders – pupils, staff, parents, governors, and the community
