About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join LCRCA’s Investment and Delivery Directorate. The post holder will work on major business growth, innovation and people and skills projects and investment that will generate economic growth, wellbeing dividends and financial returns in the Liverpool City Region.

We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting the aims of the Combined Authority, who are self-starting, highly motivated, commercially minded and possess willingness to go the extra mile. Our team comes from a range of backgrounds and experience, including finance, legal, property development and management, and social economy gained in a variety of private and public sector roles.

The role will have particular focus on dealing with a range of different stakeholders both public/private sector.  The role will also support a range complex projects and to understand market and sector analysis to support funding proposals across the business and innovation support landscape. We’re seeking candidates with business support, innovation and people and skills project experience to deliver against current and future pipeline.

Recent activity includes the delivery of £44m pipeline for UK Shared Prosperity Fund, working on Investment Zones and an ambitious pipeline of specialist business support.

 

About the person

The right candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the following:

• •‍ Relevant professional experience, preferably in delivery or development of business support, innovation or people and skills focused projects
• •‍ Strong analytical skills and with the ability to handle large complex data sets
• •‍ Ability to collect, organise and analyse data to provide actionable insight for business decisions
• •‍ Ability to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement
• •‍ Ability to communicate findings to stakeholders, recommending solutions, with a focus on simplifying the information and tailoring communication to suit specific audience.
• •‍ Self-starting and highly-motivated
• •‍ Conscientious, with attention to detail

 

The role will help to develop projects from inception through structuring, execution and into delivery, working as part of a team and on your own initiative. You can influence and have impact with stakeholders, build strong relationships, and use your ideas and experience to shape policy and delivery.
