As a Skills Trainer, you’ll support apprentices and colleagues across the business in their learning journey. This role involves planning, teaching, and delivering high-quality training sessions in classroom, online, and workplace settings. You’ll play a vital role in improving the learner experience by enhancing attendance, retention, and achievement, while helping individuals progress and develop their careers.
Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering curriculum-aligned content in Housing and Leadership & Management (L&M), preparing learners for qualifications such as CIH Levels 4 and 5, and contributing to programmes like our Aspiring Management and Executive Leadership courses. You’ll also lead individual and group tutorial sessions, moderate assessments, and work with key stakeholders to support continuous learner engagement.
You’ll need to be in a Peabody office for a minimum of 2 days per week, with flexibility if this increases depending on business need.
This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of Peabody’s dynamic Academy Team, contributing to innovative leadership development and succession planning initiatives. If you’re passionate about learning and development and have expertise in housing and leadership, we want to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you should:

- Have strong experience in developing and delivering engaging lessons, both in person and online.
- Possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work toward one through an apprenticeship.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or be willing to obtain these.
- Have a deep understanding of Housing (preferably with a Level 5 CIH qualification) and leadership practices.
- Be a great communicator, highly organised, and able to work independently and within a team.
Experience with apprenticeship standards, OFSTED frameworks, and quality assurance processes is desirable.
