The Finance and Data Insight Service provides a diverse and broad range of financial, analytical and reporting services to support services and teams across the council.</p><p><b>About The Role</b></p><p>We are looking to offer an internal secondment opportunity for Business Intelligence Analyst to support the council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) programme for a period of 18 months.</p><p>The BSIP and Transport services have access to significant amounts of data and there is a need for an Analyst to organise and map this back to interventions and changes that have been delivered so that: </p><ul>\n<li>Dashboard reporting is available in suitable and consistent formats to support Governance, Transformation Programmes and Programme Management approaches</li>\n<li>BSIP and EP outcomes and impacts can be reviewed and assessed;  </li>\n<li>management of data to support scheme feasibility assessment needs. This will mean integration with the scheme pipeline process for new infrastructure schemes, including the BSIP-funded RIF and Quantified Carbon Assessment protocols recently issued in draft by DfT </li>\n<li>public transport and passenger transport data analysis for contract and performance management requirements, and </li>\n<li>financial and KPI data is produced to enable DfT reporting in accord with grant conditions.    </li>\n<li>Home to School Transport, fleet management and Integrated Transport Services are also to be included as the Council is moving toward a revised Governance which incorporates the BSIP within a wider Passenger Transport environment. In this context a consistent approach to dashboard reporting and analysis to support Transformation and BAU programme management is essential. </li>\n</ul><p>The post-holder will be responsible for providing a range of analytical support and advice to the BSIP service and so we are looking for someone with excellent technical skills and abilities.</p><p><b>The post is career graded which allows the opportunity for candidates with a mix of skills to apply for the position.</b></p><p><b>Work Style</b></p><p>At North Somerset Council, we offer a hybrid working environment based on four distinct work styles.
