We have a fantastic opportunity available for a highly motivated Administrator to join our Community Older Adult Mental Health Team (Adult Social Care) at Wokingham Borough Council on a Part Time, Permanent Basis (30 Hours Per Week)
As an Administrator, you will provide vital administration and clerical support to the five social care practitioners responsible for care management duties based at Wokingham Community Hospital.
This role involves supporting administrative tasks such as arranging and minuting meetings, managing documents and databases, and assisting new starters. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team supporting older adults (70+) with a diagnosed mental health condition, who are receiving support from the wider Older People’s Mental Health Team and/or being discharged from Prospect Park Hospital.

Key responsibilities:
- To provide general administration and clerical support to the social care practitioners responsible for care management duties based at the Barkham Clinic hospital, the Dementia Care advisors and additional administration support as required to the service as a whole.
- To ensure that you bring forward good ideas, offer creative solutions, challenge areas where the Council can improve, and to contribute to the Council’s ongoing success.
- Work with and alongside our dementia care advisors, to manage their referrals, send out newsletters, general administration duties and assisting them at events such as the Alzheimer’s Café.
- To develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with colleagues from other agencies and departments.
Candidate requirements:
- Good general education to GCSE/O level or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Experience of using standard Microsoft programs and specialist client record systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability record information accurately
- Previous experience of working with NHS or adult social care preferable.
